Ashford Memorial Methodist Church

It's finally here! Summer is starting and we are ready to receive our first team. We are excited to see what God has in store for everyone and we can't wait to work alongside Pastor Elvis and our team.

We  are here thanks to God on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico.  After a whole flight day, we are ready to start our week of service. God will do great things.

We are here happy alongside Pastor Elvis. He is preaching about God’s mercy and how important is to be merciful. We are glad that we are able to start our week in the best way possible; learning more about the words of our Lord Jesus Christ.

After a great worship time and a delicious lunch, we are having the opportunity to share time with people of the Torres del Plata 1 Community. We are doing a prayer walk and inviting kids to VBS as well. We are so grateful for this opportunity. 

We are having a beautiful time as a team. After a great day of gathering, we are worshipping God in one holy spirit. This time is very important as well. 

Today we are at pastor Elvis’ church working hard. First, we are moving sand. It’s always good to be able to help others.

Today we have the opportunity to share a great time with a few kids from the Torres del Plata community. We are listening to a Bible parable about the shepherd and the sheep and how God loves us as well.  We are having such a great time.

During VBS, our group made bracelets for the kids. We are united in Christ and there's only one Spirit. 

In the afternoon, we have the opportunity as a team to help a hard-working man by removing some stuff from his house. This house is under construction. We are so glad to help him! 

We are here at “Heladería Georgetti” getting some delicious ice cream. They have too many flavors to choose. We are having a great time together!

We are so glad for the opportunity to be here as a team in Puerto Rico. We came to serve God through serving people. We Know that God will do great things during this week. 

We are ready today in our second day of VBS. So exited to see the kids again and share a great time together. We are talking about the history of the miracle when the disciples were fishing and how Jesus supplies all our needs.

After the morning Bible Class, we are having so much fun with the kids outside as well. We are playing different types of games with them. They love to create and paint. This simple activity is very interesting for them. They are enjoying it!

Today we are at pastor Elvis’s church painting and putting primer on the roof of the bathrooms. We are having a great time helping pastor Elvis.

We are so happy and blessed for the opportunity to be here and share a wonderful time with the kids of this community. We are thankful to the administration of the building for giving us this opportunity.

After lunch we are in Torres del Playa 2 and we are having a fun time together. We are here promoting a 1 day VBS for tomorrow, but also sharing a good time together. We really appreciate this moment.

To the right of the picture is Patricia, Pastor Elvis's daughter. While part of the team is announcing the VBS for tomorrow. Some of us are working to help Patricia build a back wall on her house for protection and to secure her backyards so her 6 dogs can have a space to stretch their legs!

There’s no better thing than fresh fruit on such a warm day. We are here at pastor Elvis’s mom's house painting and one of her neighbors just gave us some mangos so we are having a great time trying them.

Tonight we are excited to go to the bioluminescent Bay in Fajardo. We are getting some training on how to work the kayaks and we are excited to see the glowing water.

Today we are having the opportunity to have a great time with a few kids from the community Torres del Plata 2. We are so glad to talk about Jesus and the love of the father that is above all things. We have a beautiful landscape today!

Today we are here at Bob’s house. Bob is the man that has been helping pastor Elvis build his church. Now we are here cleaning and helping Bob build his house.

We are here at Iglesia Cristiana Cristo Redentor, praising God and hearing the message of God for us through pastor Robert Greene. It such a blessing to be here as brothers and sisters in Christ. We really love this church. 

Today in the morning before our rec day, we are with pastor Elvis serving people that through many challenges and hardships find themselves without a home. We are giving them sandwiches and juice, but most importantly we are praying for them. We met this pregnant woman and we got to pray for her and the health of her baby. Glory be to God.

We are here in the community of Rio Piedras, bringing a powerful message from God to the people that are passing by the street. Each sign has beautiful words about peace and trust in the Lord. We thank God for this opportunity.

We are here at El Yunque, our most important and beautiful rainforest in Puerto Rico. Today we are enjoying the beautiful nature surrounding the island. This week has been amazing! 

We are so grateful for everything that God has made this week. As a family, we are so joyful about the whole experience on this beautiful island. We are receiving so much love from the people that live here. Thank you for everything! 

We are having so much fun here at Luquillo Beach. This is one of the most beautiful places Puerto Rico has to offer. We can see with this place how big and detailed is our God.

Today, we are here at Old San Juan, having a great experience on our last day on the island. In a couple of hours we will be heading back home with a grateful heart. We are thankful for all the kindness and love that we received in Puerto Rico.
