The Vine

The team made it safely to Costa Rica, we will get some rest and go to Nicaragua tomorrow, everyone is doing great and we are ready for dinner. 

After completing a lot of paperwork at the border, we are finally in Nicaragua!  We stopped for lunch and then will continue on to our destination to the church in Managua.

It is always good to be home!  Nothing is better than being given a warm welcome when you arrive to your destination!

The day continues and our first mission is to deliver food baskets to 9 families. These families attend one of the churches that Pastor Silver is serving at.

Today we were able to participate in the English class. This is a free program for children and young people that the church has promoted for years and that has empowered some young people to get better jobs.

We concluded a very fun and productive class by praying for a new generation equipped to be instruments of God both inside and outside of Nicaragua.

Today we had an amazing experience serving in the church feeding program. We fed over 90 children!

We were so happy to witness the wedding of a couple we met two years ago.

Worship unifies us and overcomes any barriers.  This morning we worshipped together at the second CMI church.

Waymaker, Miracle Worker, Promise Keeper, Light in the darkness, our God that is Who You are!  

During night service we were able to worship in English and Spanish. The Holy Spirit poured out His presence and our hearts were filled with His love and mercy. 

"Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land."

2 Chronicles 7:14

Today is a new day in this beautiful country. We start our morning with a time of devotions, seeking God's will and His guidance.  We can do all things in Christ Who strengthens us!

The teachers from Colegio Vida Integral are members of pastor Silver's church. They are doing a great job teaching classes to the kids but most importantly, they are helping them to grow stronger in their faith. They share God's love with the kids and their parents. We took the time to pray over them for wisdom, love, and patience. 

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

John 13:34

The church service was a blessing. Michael and Heather shared their testimonies with the congregation about how God transformed their lives.  

We started to build a new storage room in the kitchen of CMI church.  We are super excited to see the work finished tomorrow. 

Breakfast this morning was delicious! Raquel, Juana, Martha and Efrain are doing a great job cooking delicious meals for us. They have a servant heart and we have experienced the love of God through them. This morning, we had the opportunity to pray for them and blessed them in the name of Jesus. 

We had the opportunity to take 27 kids to the water park today. They had so much fun, these kids usually attend the Bible studies at CMI church. They are growing strong in their faith and desire to follow Jesus 

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” 

Matthew 9:14

We had the opportunity to pray for Elvis and Raquel. They work very hard in the ministries that pastor Silver is carrying out in the neighborhood. We blessed them with food, reminding them that God always takes care of His children. 

During the farewell service we not only appreciated the Nicaraguan culture, but were also made a part of it.

After an incredible week of ministry, it's time to enjoy one of the best beaches in Nicaragua.

We spent an incredible time on the beach of San Juan del Sur, Sun, Sand and water are the best components for a day of relaxation.
