Catholic Order of Foresters

We made it to Melber Baptist Church (our lodging for the week) and we are so excited! We are already making friends from Northfield Community Church and we are praying for a great week full of service and fun. God is good! Stay tuned for more updates tomorrow. We will be attending two church services, one at Melber Baptist Church and the other one at Grace Life Church. 

Today was an incredible day for our group from Catholic Order of Foresters! We spent the morning at Melber Baptist Church, where we're staying, and had such a great time. Our day kicked off with a Bible study that was both enlightening and engaging.

After the study, we attended a service with a powerful message that resonated deeply with everyone. It was inspiring and gave us a lot to reflect on.

But what truly made the day special were the members of Melber Baptist. They welcomed us with open arms and were so kind and wonderful to us.

We're grateful for their hospitality and for making our visit so memorable. Looking forward to more amazing experiences like this!

Today, our group from Catholic Order of Foresters visited Mayfield, the area hit hard by the tornado in 2021. It was a humbling and moving experience.

We had the privilege of listening to Bobby and Cheryl, who shared information of what happened. And they encouraged us to keep Mayfield and those affected in our prayers.

After that, we joined together for a prayer walk through the area. 

This visit reminded us of the importance of support and prayer. We're keeping Mayfield in our thoughts and prayers as they continue to rebuild.

We wrapped up an incredible day by heading over to Grace Life Church. The evening was filled with wonderful worship, an uplifting message, and a powerful time of prayer.

During the service, we prayed over the worship leader, who has an important doctor's appointment on Tuesday. It was a touching moment of support and faith. Pastor Chad invited everyone to pray over him while we sang "Amazing Grace." It was truly a powerful moment.

After the service, the church had prepared some delicious snacks and food for everyone. We enjoyed every bite while chatting and connecting with the Grace Life community.

Pray for us as we begin serving in different ministries tomorrow. We’re excited and ready to make a positive impact!

Today was our first full day of mission work and it was spent outside clearing trees and overgrown bushes from the yard of a member of Grace Life Church. It was hot, hard work but so rewarding. 

Everyone worked together as a team and made a lot of progress today. 

We are so thankful for Bobby and Cheryl who keep feeding us with delicious meals every day! Today we had burgers and hotdogs. Just look at all those happy faces! The people from Northfield Community Church & Catholic Order of Foresters had a great time enjoying dinner. 

Today, met incredible people at Starfish Orphan Ministries. Anita Vance shared the story of how everything started at Starfish and introduced us to Laura Roberts, the director of the non profit. We also had the opportunity to serve doing different projects like painting the bathroom! We thank God for this non profit and we will continue to pray for them.

Starfish Orphan Ministries helps a lot of people in need in different ways. So, we also helped organize their toy room! These are donations they get and we helped keeping it all organized for when families come and get to choose something from here.

Our teams got to worship with the youth at Grace Life Church 

Today was our last day, and we finished by doing some service projects at Grace Life Church. We put in all of our efforts to get things done, and we did it! We are proud of everyone in our team because they gave everything and helped the local church in Kentucky. 

Pastor Chad rewarded us with a delicious lunch, and then brought the net so we could have some fun playing volleyball! We loved serving this week at Grace Life Church, and we will be praying for them.
