Last night we arrived at Madison UMC and got to know Trinity Church, another team with whom we will be serving part of this week! We are excited for what’s in store.

This morning we joined in worship with City Heart church in downtown Jackson and prepared our hearts to serve with them this week. Pastor Kevin brought an amazing word to us as well.

With the boys off at another ministry site, us women knocked out the work. We moved 10 full iron doors and 6 wooden bed frames from the basement we cleaned yesterday.

This morning we partnered with Care Center Ministries and Trinity Friends Church from Ohio in feeding the community through their food pantry. Care center feeds around 150-300 families a week through this ministry!

As we filled boxes with food and distributed them to the neighbors who came by, we also had the opportunity to pray with and for every single neighbor who came through, filling spiritual needs as well.

We spent the afternoon transforming AC gates and planters for City Heart Church. It’s amazing what some sanding and black paint can do!

This evening we took some time to hear from each other and hear from God while enjoying the creation around us. We heard each other’s God moments from today and then took a gratitude walk around a park. God is good!

This morning we partnered with Care Center Ministries in their ministry Soul Snatchers. We offered free food and prayer to everyone who came.

As we gave out free food, we also prayed with and for every person who came through. Everywhere you looked, our team was praying and serving.
