We made it to Mayfield just fine and met the team we'll be working with this week! It's so exciting to hear what God has been doing here and to think about what He's going to do this week. But, we have been on the road a lot today and need to rest up, so we can be at our best to serve tomorrow!

In order to prepare our hearts for the week to come, we went on a prayer drive. We looked at some of the tornado damage as well as prayed over some of our ministry sites this week!

Another way that we served this week was by deep cleaning the children’s center at Community Fellowship Baptist Church! We wiped down every surface and then we sanitized all the toys!
The Lord's timing is always perfect because their cleaning lady had recently been injured and unable to clean. So we were able to come alongside them and bless Community Fellowship by cleaning!

One of the local leaders asked us to help a tornado victim with some brush clean up. It was a very big job, with four large piles of brush and logs! But, we wanted to serve the homeowner as best as we could! With a lot of hard work, some fun little contests, a some perseverance, we sorted and cut all the brush and logs into manageable piles, that she can safely burn later. We saw how God can use us in big ways, if we just keep on pressing forward!

One of our partners has been a leader in distributing supplies to people affected by the tornados. Bottled water was important to the area, because the water treatment plant was damaged by the storms. Our partner stored and distributed hundreds of pallets of water. But, that meant their picnic pavilion could not be used for food and fun. Today, we were able to help our partner take a step closer to returning their pavilion to it's original purpose. We removed chicken wire used to keep birds out of the rafters. And we power washed the ceiling to remove dirt and damaged insulation. It was a dirty job, but one we enjoyed getting to do, as we thought about the fun times they will soon have here!
